From a public product page to JSON
Create an account, select an endpoint and test it in the sandbox before integrating it into your backend. New accounts receive 100 trial credits without a credit card.
1. Generate an API key
Open API Keys in your dashboard. Send the key in the Authorization header from a server. Keep it in credentials or environment variables, never in client-side code or a shared workflow export.
2. Search, then inspect a product
PLP returns a search result list. Select a relevant item and pass its full URL (or TikTok productId) to PDP. Preserve region and currency across both calls. The example uses the Brazilian Temu catalog.
curl --request POST 'https://api.geckoapi.com.br/v1/extract' \
--header 'Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY' \
--header 'Content-Type: application/json' \
--data '{"target":"temu.com","type":"plp","keyword":"water bottle","region":"br","page":1}' English endpoint references

The complete source catalog (Portuguese) also covers travel, properties, businesses and other sources.
3. Handle the response
Read the data object and retain requestId and executionId for support. Optional fields can be null or missing. A missing value does not mean zero stock, free shipping or no reviews. Do not compare prices across currencies or different variants.
Check the HTTP status before parsing data. Correct 400/401/403 errors before trying again. For 429 or transient 5xx errors, use bounded retries, respect Retry-After and allow for endpoint timeouts. A successful new request can consume credits again. Inspect notFound and data: null when the endpoint supports them; TikTok PDP instead reports an extraction error for an invalid upstream product.
